I stayed there at Nest and Hives for three nights. It's an excellent place to spend time. Even though it was mid-May it was really pleasant and nice! The view from the place is amazing. The staff is quite courteous and prompt to respond. The owner and manager were in touch even before we reached the place. The food was delicious too. It may be a little ahead from Mukteshwar but it's worth it.

An ethereal, out of this world experience it was. Transports you to another world of tranquillity and bliss. The magical sunrise, the lofty snow covered Himalayas, the chirping of birds, the cool breeze bringing the odours of the pine trees weave a magic. You can relax, unwind and indulge in some serious soul searching. It is a must visit place. And kudos to Mr. Anil gupta and Mr. Ashish and his wonderful team who made us feel at home and pampered us. Loved it.

I have been to most of places in Kumaun and this is the one of the best place(hotel) which can offer you panoramic Himalayan view from room's balcony. Owner, Manager along with house keeping, cooking staff members are very friendly persons and always eager to satisfy your requirements/concerns.

The place offers beautiful views of the Himalayas. This has got to be the best selling point about this place. Rooms are well equipped to handle the subzero temperatures in winters. While the upper, Papillon category rooms are quite colorful and well furnished, the lower category rooms aesthetically feel a little bland and can use some more colors. Service is prompt and fast and the staff is very polite and soft-spoken. Food is good too. The quantities in the meal plans are more than sufficient for a single person, and so we end up wasting a lot of food on the first order. Order less. As for taste, some dishes are better than the other, but overall it's not bad. The hotel is located more than 25kms from Mukhteshwar and is easily an hour drive to any place you may want to visit nearby. Not having a car of your own, or a pre-booked cab, could be a problem in this case. All in all, we spent a lot of time at the hotel, especially all the evenings because of the cold, and we felt comfortable and at home.
